VISION STATEMENT

Our vision for North County San Diego is a community where…

People are so readily empowered that abortion is no longer in demand.
Men and women who have been traumatized by abortion are set free.
Our youth understand and accept the benefits of abstinence.
Lives are transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired Word of God and is free from error. It constitutes the only authoritative infallible standard and guide for faith and living practice.

2. We believe there is one God, the creator and preserver of all things. He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are of one substance and equal in power and glory.

3. We believe men and women are created in the image of God. Therefore, life is unique and sacred. However, since the disobedience of Adam, humankind is in a state of depravity and is under the sentence of eternal separation from God. Under this sentence, men and women can only be saved by the grace of God, through faith, on the basis of the work of Jesus Christ and by the agency of the Holy Spirit.

4. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal, only begotten Son of God the Father, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of virgin birth. Jesus is true God and true man, and is the only mediator between God and man. We believe in the miracles performed by Jesus. To effect salvation, Jesus lived a sinless life and died on the cross as sinful man's substitute, shedding the blood for the remission of sins. On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead in the body, which had been seated in the tomb. Jesus ascended into heaven and is at the right hand of God the Father as Lord of Lords, and is the Head of the Church. Jesus shall come again in power and glory to earth judge all people.

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit dwells in those who have accepted Christ. The work of Christ is to renew the Christian's nature through regeneration and sanctification, giving spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ, the Church.

6. We believe the believer, having turned to God in repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, is accountable to God for living a life separate from sin and characterized by the fruit of the Holy Spirit, spreading the gospel, and for contributing to the edification of fellow believers in the Church.

7. We believe that at the end of the age the bodies of the dead shall be raised. The righteous through faith in Jesus Christ shall enter into the full possession of eternal life and joy in the presence of God, and the unrighteous outside of Christ shall be condemned to eternal punishment and death outside of the presence of God.

8. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ with equality across racial, gender, class and denominational differences.

9. We believe that human life begins at conception and is valued by God from conception onward.

10. We believe that abortion is not a biblically acceptable option to pregnancy, regardless of rape or incest.

STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLE

1. The Pregnancy Resource Center is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His church. Therefore the Pregnancy Resource Center, embodied in its volunteers, is committed to presenting the gospel of our Lord to men and women with related issues - both in word and in deed. Commensurate with this purpose, those who labor as Pregnancy Resource Center board members, directors, and volunteers are expected to know Christ as their Savior and Lord.

2. The Pregnancy Resource Center is committed to providing its clients with accurate and complete information about both prenatal development and abortion.

3. The Pregnancy Resource Center is committed to integrity in dealing with clients, earning their trust, and providing promised information and services. The Pregnancy Resource Center denounces any form of deception in its corporate advertising or individual conversations with its clients.

4. The Pregnancy Resource Center is committed to assisting women to carry to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance. Through the provision of God's people and the community at large, women may face the future with hope, and plan constructively for themselves and their babies.

5. The Pregnancy Resource Center does not discriminate in providing services because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, or marital status of its clients.

6. The Pregnancy Resource Center does not recommend, provide, or refer for abortion or abortifacients.

7. The Pregnancy Resource Center offers assistance free of charge at all times.

8. The Pregnancy Resource Center is committed to creating awareness within the local community of the needs of pregnant women, and of the fact that abortion only compounds human need rather than resolving it.

9. The Pregnancy Resource Center does not recommend, provide or refer single women for contraceptives. (Married women seeking contraceptive information should be urged to seek counsel, along with their husbands, from their pastor and physician.)

10. This Pregnancy Resource Center recognizes the validity of adoption as one alternative to abortion, but is not biased toward adoption when compared to the other life saving alternatives. Centers are independent of adoption agencies, relating to them in the same manner as to other helpful referral sources. The Pregnancy Resource Center receives no payment of any kind from these agencies, does not enter into contractual relationships with them, and does not share combined office space. Adoption agencies are not established under the auspices of centers. The Pregnancy Resource Center neither initiates nor facilitates independent adoptions, though we may refer for independent adoptions.
